Alternator done! need a new one what do you recommend?

Ok so i was driving home from the VA Hospital and notice a burning electrical smell.. so i pulled over and checked my amps and everything and couldnt find the problem area.. Then my battery light came on so i turned my stereo off and drove to the mechanic to have him check it out.. he said my alternator is shot.. I have a 300 amp Iraggi HO alt which i have only had about 2 years.. How long are these aftermarket HO alts supposed to last? So now I need to get another one but i dont think i am going with Iraggi again.. Who is the best or best for the money in regards to Alts? Incase you are wondering what my system is i will include that..

Hmm, toast a supposed 330A with ~2kw in 2 yrs??

Another reason to question Iraggi's alts.

I ran 1100 with a 75A Ford alt. It held out for 2 yrs and had over 200K on it.

You might check out the DB electrical offerings on ebay. I bought a marine starter from them and was happy with the transaction. Spoke with them on the phone with a tech issue -- real friendly, happy to help.

ok there we go thanks man that is about what i wanted.. i am hoping i wont have this ride to long.. i want something bigger with more room.. this should hold me over till them.. do you have any personal experiance with this company?

ya i guess you live and learn.. i saw some bad reviews and some really good ones so i thought i would give it a shot.. they were cheaper than the DC and i guess i know why now..
