alternator? amp? idle?

i was reading up on alternators. i see 200 amps but 100 amps on idle..... i need to keep 4 optima batteries charged in the back and my started battery. how many amps do i actually need.... how any amps do i need to keep thos charged

also if you had a choice between an iraggi or a stinger alternator which one would u pic each states 200 amps...?

the iraggis will prolly be cheaper. i dont see many ppl running stinger alts here, and quite a few running iraggi. iraggi has alternators that he sells on ebay that are new, and a 180 amp is only ~ 180-200 shipped id go with the iraggis.

It depends. If you are pulling 400A on an almost constant basis, then hell no, it will not keep them charged. If you pull 120A max every once in a while, then yes, it will.
