Alternate speaker sizes? 4x6 for 04 Cavalier

Slowly getting my younger brother into this mobile audio thing. He is a music buff and would really like to setup a nice system in his car.

He has an 04 Cavalier L4 Sedan.

Looks like his factory speaker sizes are 4x6 front and 6x9 rear.

Seems to be a pretty huge PITA to find component speakers in this size that aren't price out of his budget.

My question is: Is there an easy way to figure out what size comps would fit his door panel without modding the panel?

Would a 4" round comp set fit?

This is something that we may install ourselves so something simple would be ideal.

yes the 4" componet will work...There are quite a few companies that make 4x6 componet plates...not sure of the prices though....brands that come to mind are JBL...Polk...Pioneer...I'm sure some others...

I've read good things about the Polk and Pioneer comp sets. Any recomendations?
