Alternatator Help

I would never go much higher than 14.5 people run them upto 15.8 15.9 with mla modules. but I simply think that it just reatard and will overcharage the cells and would cause arching and blow some ish up. 14.4 is what I would say is ideal

Anything over 14.4v runs the risk of shortened battery life at best, outright failure at worst. If you open the valves on a sealed battery, it will never produce full power again.

There are plenty of competitors that run even as high as 16.0v on 12v batteries and they work fine. But those are not daily vehicles and they don't care if the batteries fail. They are fine with buying new ones if needed.

If you are talking about a daily driver, know that running above 15.0v is likely to damage your batteries over time. Staying under 15.0v is recommended for daily driving. Competitors can easily bump that value up to 16.0v for short competition charges.

So will i be safe running it for daily right at 15.0volts and 16.0volts for comp.

i have 4 nsb90's and a 300amp iraggi alt.

I would say that should be fine. I have not tried it myself or heard of anyone using NSB batteries at that voltage, but they should be fine. I know people using Kinetiks at that range, so an NSB should be safe as well. I guess you will have to try it out and let us know.

from testing, and my personal experince

before i switched to mechman i ran a iraggi 240, dynoed it didnt put out over 200 any of the 7 times it had to be replaced from blowing, and didnt put out more that 60 at idle

friend had 3 of his 300 amps iraggis, neither of his alts put out more than my mechman 250 at max

i cant remember the exact number but i think it put out lik 227 at 4000 rpm, not the 3000 at 2000rpm
