Alright, need some honest opinions here...

Alright, so I finally got my 13W7 and Orion 1200D hooked up. I love it.

However, I've wanted more since I heard it. Yes it is loud, yes it hits decently... but I know that I want more...

Here's what I'm thinking...

Going to run dual batteries, dual Mechman alts, two runs of 1/0 power and ground wire.

I've got a 2006 Dodge Dakota extended cab (two full, two half doors)... I have a lot of room behind the front seats as I took the back wall / jumper seats out about a month after I bought the truck.

I'm really liking the Sundown Z v.4 series as my main drivers, but I'm undecided as to two 12's or two 15's... trying to figure out exactly what sized box works best for these two options...

I'm also considering adding one Sundown SA-8 into the mix as well for the mid-bass (I listen to a lot of metal, heavy rock). What would be the downfalls of building one large box, to house all three of these subs? I would be considering doing the main drivers in with side ports, firing off the rear doors, and having a smaller sealed box housing the 8, firing forward.

Would I get much cancellation? Is this just a terrible idea?

Anyone have any insight on this?

Oh, I'm looking to run the main drivers off a Sundown SAZ-3500 V2, and the 8" off a Sundown SAX-125.4 running the rear channel bridged with the front channel running my door speakers...

Yes adding a sa 8 is a terrible idea ..as far as the sundown stuff all that sounds fine ...no need for 2 mechman alts on the power ur wanting ..def gona need 2 extra agms and a agm under the hood

Alright, I wasn't sure if the 8 would be a bad decision or not, sounds like it is, thanks for the help on that!

I'd prefer to go with 15's just because the overall surface area would be more than the equivalent of three 12's... but how big of a box do those 15's take?

And if u dont plan to dbl ur power soon i wouldnt waste the money on the zv4s id grab the x.s and save some dough...just hope jacob has fixed the pesky glue issue
And what do you mean by doubling my power soon? Can they handle significantly more than 1,750W?

Money really isn't a huge issue with me, but I would like to stick with an all Sundown build... so would the SAZ-5000D be a better fit for the subs?

Yes 2 zv4 15s on a saz5000d would be a perfect setup ...get @Buck; to design you a box get the biggest single alt they make for ur truck and 3 g31 agms in the back and it will be fun ..and crazy loud

Mechman makes a 320amp... that'll be enough to charge the truck running at 5,000K watts?

The electrical is my biggest concern. I hate dimming lights, and on the JL I'm running more, people tell me my tail lights look like hazards when I'm bumpin the bass.

Also, I'm looking at sundowns enclosure diagram they have on their site for two 15s. that comes out to be a combined 10 ft^3???

Does it REALLY have to be that big???

How do you have the 13w7 wired? If you have it at 3 ohms, it's only getting about 500-600 watts. Try getting and amp that will do 1200-1500 between 2-4ohms.

And what type of enclosure do you have? Sealed? Vented? If you go from sealed to vented, coupled with the power increase, it will pretty much double the output

it's loud, it shakes my neighbors inside of their house. I get text messages from the daughter all the time "so my couch is vibrating, so I look outside and there you go by the house"

U will need 2 runs of pos and 2 runs of neg from front to back batts alomg with big 3 and extra agms to have solid electrical and 320a is plenty i run 5k on a 240..yea its gona be a pretty big box ..maybe not 10 cubes but id say at least 8-8.5..thats why i said check with @Buck; for box design
