Alright guys, I'm stumped - no bass

I'm sure this is something simple in the settings, but I can't figure it out right now and I just can't seem to get my brain to think! The HU is a Kenwood X789, the amp is a Hifonics BXI2006D, the subs are 2 12L7s. The amp is powering on fine and the fuse block says it's getting between 14.1 and 14.3 volts. The gain is set at about 1/3, bass boost off, phase set to 0, low pass at about 25hz. But, no bass! The RCAs are connected fine. The subs are wired to 1 ohm and worked fine when I tested them before. I'm thinking it could be a HU setting. I'm sure the amp is fine, I bought it off of Neill Barber a couple of weeks ago. Can anyone think of anything?

Oh the 2 zone is set to off - I've already checked that, that's what I figured it was but no such luck.

You say "low pass is set to 25hz". If you mean subsonic filter is set to that then you are ok and it is something else.

If your low pass crossover is set to 25hz, you won't get much sound.

If that is not it, grab your DMM and start testing down the line. Make sure you are getting output voltage on the speaker connections of the amp when music is playing.

I am not familiar with your HU. Maybe try downloading the owners manual if you don't have it and checking for settings that could cause your probiem. For example you might have your RCAs crossed over on the HU as high pass and then on your amp as low pass.

I have a Excelon HU. Have you checked your sub output. I know that sounds simple but you have to get into the menu and turn it on. It happend to me.
