From the looks from everyones opinion here in a clear majority the RE's are better. Than the Type R's.I think the R's RMS at 500 and peak at 1500

idk what the RE's stats are.

With my Type-r's I could push about 600rms not much more. With my RE's I have put around 700-800rms and They took it no problem.. I was very impressed... Also you would be please with The SX the reason I went with the SE was because I wanted two 12"... If I were you and you wanted to go with one sub I would def go with The Audioque Hdc3 http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm But it all depends on the Amp your going to use and how much power you have to throw at it... They are 1000rms but way underrated people on this forum claim to throw 1800rms to them so I would check them out...

I would look into the HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi1608D

The main thing I'm worried about with trying these brands my friends nor i have ever herd of is... them not performing when put on the spot or in other words when I'm showing my friends what their capable of they puss out and my friends xplodes end up sounding better.

Man i would go with two re audio SE's...the RE SE's have better sound quality than the audiobahns and they will be way louder and they are going for $99 right now these are...subs great...i owned two audiobahn 15's i dont remember the series of audiobahns i had because it's been a few years, but let me tell you i wasn't impressed at all...don't get me wrong audiobahn made some decent subs...but RE stuff is superior for a lesser price...

A friend came by yesterday and asked this exact same question. I had an SX 12 and a Type R 12 sitting in storage. I recommended the Type R and sold it to him for $75. For you I recommend the SX 12. I think you would be happy with either. The cost of the TypeR and the better sq(to me anyway) would make it my choice. If you want to get louder of play with more power in general the SX is the way to go. The SE series everyone is pushing on you wouldn't be a bad choice either.

Huh, i vote RE but i have barely heard setups of those, my friend has two R's and he is beating the hell out of them. Uber clipped signal, he is sending about 1300w to each sub via a 500w alpine mono with bass boost JACKED.

They are still going and he has had them for about a year now.

NEVER gonna happen. I have my SE12 running with ~350 rms (upgrading amps soon) And some kid i know thought his xplodes "bumped hard as shit" and i had him sit in my car and it scared the shit outta him when the first bass note from hypnotize by young jeezy hit lol

I found them on Ebay for $154 That site you linked me to looks pretty untrustworthy.

I think people on here have been buying from them right and left, but none the less, I bought mine from mobilesoundworks, the ebay store for $154 shipped. Same day shipping, and made it here in 3 days in perfect condition.
