I bought a Kicker Comp sub from a guy on here and im having a problem with one of the subs, he repaired the subs. When i tried to install them with my amp at the time ( Crunch PZI2250, 500 Watts X 2 @ 2 ohms ). The gain was literally off and as soon as the amp powered on it went into protect, at the time i was suspecting the amp was bad cuz i paid $40 for it. But after trying installing it that time i brought the amp home and it worked. So anyway we went and bought a $60 visonik amp from pepboys to power them and it went into protect out of the box so he called me and told me with this sub unhooked it worked. I contacted the seller who will remain unnamed because me and him are solving it and there isnt a problem there and he agreed to take a look at it and then we'd work out a refund if the sub is bad.
These are the pictures of my meter and the rading of the coil which is a 4 ohm
QUESTIONS
1) What coulda caused the readings like that cuz its not the meter?
2) Could my amp have caused this before it went to protect ( i dont recall any time between the power light coming on and the protect light coming on).
3) Could the sellers repair have caused this ( repaired the tinsel lead with a lead wire )
4) Anyone know the retail on my meter.
