They're way worth it. Im running one off of a kicker kx800.2 and it sounds good. I'm just waitng for a new amp to really test it. But it does hit very clean and tight. Mine is only in a 1.3cft sealed box. Low end extension is also sweet. I paid $280 and it is worth every penny.

i was thinking about going with 2 type x's and a hifonics 1606d also, but i decided not to because the actual power it puts out wont be enough for both. Go with one ported 2 ohms

not me...my dude owns an audio shop, alpine authorized, and mine were purchased from authorized vendor--that i made sure of. Besides, i'll probably never see more than 1000rms since i never turn my alpine past 23-24 out of 35 and i set my gains by ear at volume 25.
