12" Kicker Comp VX or 12" Solo-Baric L7?

Ok, I have/had a 10" Kicker L7 in a ported box and I loved it. It hit 141.5 with under 500W RMS (Kicker KX450.2 bridged, 498W RMS) on it. It was flushed into my hatch in the floor of my 2000 Celica GTS. The main problem I had with it was that the box was HUGE, and it was taking up too much space in my trunk (I have a 9 month old son who rides in the back, and putting laundry and other stuff in there became a hassle). I decided I wanted a sealed box, but someone offered me a lot of money for my amp and box. So I've sold them.

I have since bought a Kicker KX600.1 amp which actually makes 710W RMS. Now, whatever sub I get I'm going to be putting it into a small sealed enclosure. I just can't decide between the Comp VX and the L7. I know the L7 will be a bit louder because of the square cone, and honestly I like the look of the L7 more, but won't the VX be a little cleaner? Both handle 750W RMS, so the amp will be almost perfect to push either. What do you all think?

From what I understand, it's pretty much the same sub (same cone, magnet, frequency response, power handling, etc.) Just the L7 is square the the CVX is round, obviously. The CVX is also a little cheaper, but the small difference in price really isn't a factor. I just can't make up my mind! What would you all do? Thanks in advance..

well it definitely has to be sealed because i want a box that is smaller and more accurate. i had my 10" L7 in a ported box and it sounded awesome. i once put it in a small sealed box and it sounded HORRIBLE. this makes me hesitant to put a Solo in a sealed box. it was probbaly because the box was either poorly made, too small, or not airtight though wouldn't you think?

I'm in the same boat, but thinking about two cvx 12's sealed, they seemed to fair pretty well in the 12" test session against others sealed for output.

Anybody know roughly what these weigh? Part of the reason I'm going sealed is to save space and weight.

ok if i get an L7 and put it in a .88 cfu box is that gonna sound ok? it's what kicker says but some people in online reviews have said that they don't sound good in a small sealed enclosure.
