my friend is about to buy a new sub he wants to know if the type x is worth getting i can get it for him for 280 shipped should he get it or should he try for something else give suggestions and reason for the sugestion

Type x is more of an sq sub, they are real nice and beefy, get pretty loud, but not as loud as a type r

it doesnt get as loud?...pass that sh*t would ya.....you must be out of your tree...the type x will definitely get louder BUT is a SQ oriented sub. i myself was not very happy with alpine subs. they were ok but for the price there is definitely better. also if your interested i found them for like $240 shipped i have to find them again though.

I'm not too impressed by my buddies type x.. still a decent sub though. I'd much rather have 2 type rs.

9500's get pretty **** loud but tehn again i havent heard a type x but 9500s r great subs
