Alpine Type X Subwoofer

So how did I miss these and why didn't anyone suggest these to me??? This 10" subwoofer is one bad *** subwoofer!!! Does ANYONE have any first hand experience with this sub and if so... would you use it over a Dayton Ultimax? 10" for 10"

Just your basic woofer. I would take the Dayton over it. Sundown xv2 always a great option

That Sundown looks like it would have 6" of travel lol. It is going to be hard to beat the price on the Dayton though.

for SQ, daytons overwhelmingly win anything sundown offers sorry to say. Or rather it sounds amazing with ease and minimal effort in the enclosure design. sundowns dont sound bad but daytons sound that much better with less distortion and much more accurate.

Can't be much help and can't afford something that rich. They're pretty subs tho and if anything like Alpine's QC, with a tightly sealed trunk they'd probably blow the stucco off a nearby building and leave you deaf and dead inside your cabin.

Meh its Alpine, there are numerous other subs that out perform those Xs.

Haven't heard them. I'm sure they are good though but I'd rather have a hand built USA made IDMAX10 for that kind of money.

People still do but you won't find them here. I like their comps and head units. Amps and subs there is more variety for cheaper elsewhere.
