Alpine Type-X comps vs Focal?

I've heard the Focal Polykevlars and I am very impressed. Not so impressed with the Polyglass. However, I can get a good price on Alpine. Does anyone have experience with the Alpine Type-X components? How do they compare with the Focals and with the Alpine Type-R's? I'm looking for best SQ.

I have the alpine spr-176a and they sound good and get loud without that much wattage.

The best way is to listen to both if you can. The Alpine Type-X are really nice and clean in mid and high As for the Type-r's there not has loud but have some good mid bass and the high are little bright for me. Focal make really good Comps . As you i wasnt very impressed by there lower models but there higher models are very nice in every way. But i own the Type-r's and i have the Type-x's comeing. But you cant good wrong with Alpine or Focal
