The Alpine Type-X are really nice and clean in mid and high As for the Type-r's there not has loud but have some good mid bass and the high are little bright for me. Focal make really good Comps . As you i wasnt very  impressed by there lower models but there higher models are very nice in every way. But i own the Type-r's and i have the Type-x's comeing. But you cant good wrong with Alpine or Focal</p></blockquote><p></p>
