Alpine Type X 6.5 question

I have a rockford p3001 (300 X 2) watt amplifier jus sittin in my basement is it even possible to hook this up 2 a pair of type x's with the gain wayyyyyyyy down and if i did what would happen?

Keep the gain down and you'd be fine.. Not the best amp for the job, but it would work..

The basic answer to your question is no. First of all, the Rockford P3001 is a mono amp and should not be used on any full range components. Unless you mean you have a pair of Type X subs, which means you posted this in the wrong section. Second, that amp does 150x1 @ 4ohms and 300x1 @ 2ohms, so it's not nearly enough power for 2 Type X subs. Unless you are posting the wrong model amp, you do not have 300wx2.

Don't use that amp on components, it will sound like crap.
