I havent heard them yet... I have heard good things about them though...!! Why do you say they are shitty? MTX has been around for a long time and the 9500's are their best woofers so I wouldnt expect them to be shitty... FYI I wanted W7's but we couldnt get the impedence right with my amp since they are SVC 3 ohm woofers...

They're just piss poor for what you pay for them. Cones crack easy on them too.

Here are the photo's from the new setup... I thought they where going to build a second box but they surprised me and built this... It looks and sounds amazing IMO and I haven't had any of the problems I was having before... The 9500's sound great with the PDX-M12!!! Id love to hear how 2 type x's would sound in this box if given the opportunity, but Im more than happy with the setup that they just completed!!! Thanks Showtime!!

Looks good, dont turn up the volume once the subs STOP getting louder. This is how u will damage your subs as they will get a clipped signal. I would use a digital multimeter to set your amps gain. There are plenty tutorials... I think you can check out JL Audios site for a easy one. Now keep in mind when you set them using a testtone. that you should set it with your volume a couple notches below your loudest setting you would use daily as you wont be listening to test tones and music will have a little less bass volume... I hope that was clear u can pm me with questions...

But having a type-r catch on fire and blowing that many subs is def f'd up.... the shop should have been able to figure out the problem quickly
