alpine type s subs

How do these sound? I see they have 12.9 mm of xmax so they got to be pretty loud.

are you thinking about buying some? if you are go with the type r's great for the money and i believe you will like them a lot better and be more satisfied in the long run.

there isnt much wrong with type s subs, i had two and they got decently loud and sounded alot better than the R, i would compare them to the RSX if anything.

Ehhh I have hear a lot of iffy things about the type S. I would totally agree go type R if you go alpine. They are pretty insane for what they cost. Now do I have personal experience with the type s ... NO so don't go 100 percent on what I say alone

x2 i have heard a few of those in prefab boxes and wow they wang, but they are considerably more money and need alot of power.

Please don't buy the E's or the S's spend the extra money and go for the R's.

ha ha times 10 for the type R. I was driving around the ghetto today (it was nice outside) my one 12 inch type R and about 500 true watts rms(custom BP) but it has people looking down the street as I was coming. I wasn't sure if it was the highs or the bass . Later I stopped by my brothers house and he said it was POUNDING in the house and actually could feel it through the floor of the house.... sorry to sound like teenage kid... but dangit it made me feel like one lol. Those subs are insane. I heard even with a standard ported box does VERY nice
