alpine type-s or phoenix gold tantrum 12"?

so i find myself in a quite a pickle, ive been offered quite a good price on a phoenix gold tantrum 12". currentley in my ride i am running a alpine type-s 12" which i've owned for about 3 months now, but after the initial 'wow' factor had run out, i long for something that is just that much better. so i was wondering, which one would you guys opt for, the alpine type-s 12" or phoenix gold tantrum 12"? the cost for the pg is definetley in the same ballpark as my type-s, but i'd like to know if i should purchase it. what do you guys think? thanks!!

The tantrum has been long discontinued, but it is certainly way better than the type s. As a mater a fact I like it better than the type r. So if you can get it then go for it.
