Alpine Type R Vs. Infinity Kappa 12.1 Help Needed!

I blew out my HX2. I am looking for a replacement 12" sub within a $150 limit. The HX2 was good, but this time I want something that sounds deeper and cleaner, in other words better SQ. I read in numerious threads about the ALPINE TYPE R...and am leaning towards this sub. How is this sub comapred to the INFINITY KAPPA 12.1 in terms of SQ and LP? Also, how does the ALPINE TYPE R and INFINITY 12.1 compare to the CROSSFIRE bmf 1228? Help really appriciated!

I have a Rockford Fosgate 501BD mono block amp.

Sound quality all depends on install... if you go sealed, go with the infinity. The R isn't a sealed box sub, but it will blow you away in the correct ported box!
