Alpine type R sub question

Just wondering whats the difference between a 10" Alpine type R (newer model) and an Alpine Type R (12" newer model) Ive searched online but cannot find a direct answer... I have this guy thats willing to sell me two 10" Type R's in a ported box for $175 and can also get 2 12" in a ported box for $300...

Is there much of a difference between the two sizes?

Im a newbie at all this so any help would be great

Which one would you go with?

only difference i can think of is cone area(2 inches). the 2 12 will get louder but the 2 10 will due if your not a bass freak. good price

Right now I have 3 12" Infinity reference model# 1230W 300W rms each...

For the price I was thinking of going w/ the two 10" but wasnt to sure if it would be better than the 3 Infinity's I have now...

Will they have better sound quality and better bass response from what I have now?

I will be powering it with a Kenwood Kac-9152d amp (900 rms)

So approx. 450 rms each
