1 fully loaded 18" BTL or 2 15" L7's?

I know I hate these questions too, but I had made my mind up to run 2 15" L7's in my Caravan but I have been seeing alot of used 18" BTL's and RE MT's in different classifieds for about $300, I can either get 1 of those or 2 15" L7s for about the same price..What would you do? I guess I Could get one of the used BTL's for now and buy another one in a few months maybe.. Do you think that would be the way to go? I do have room for about 12 cube box so running the 2 18"s would be fine, and I have yet to buy a amp but will most likely go with either Hifonics, Kicker, or Fosgate.....agghh...got to make a final decision and stick with it...

Just remembered, I could also buy a NEW DC level 4 18" for about $300 and then get another one in a few months...

I would go with the BTL 18 and pick up another in the future. Good luck

BTW i will have a build of two 15 BTLs on a T40001bd starting this week in a SUV so if you want to get an idea of what it would be like roughly I will have pics and vids up when its done. GL

I personally would vote the 1 fully loaded btl 18.......

I think it has more potential even tho it has less cone area

l7s mite get loud but i think they sound like ***......and i think you can get better for the money!!!i would go with the BTL and then just get another later!! IMO

FYI, this is a purely subjective analysis. SQ has more to do with a particular individual's listening taste. L7's are an accomplished subwoofer and have done very well throughout the various SQ competition circuits. Polecat and some of the other more knowledgeable members can probably speak more intelligently about the accomplishments of the L7 than I can.

The BTL's have their place as does the L7. Given equal power, the L7's have cone area advantage. If done correctly, both will certainly be loud and probably sound pretty good.

L&'s hands down, i have an 18 inch MT and a 15inch L7, the L7 is almost as loud.

Whats your goal w/ this stereo?

To get LOUD..hit HARD...I want something that takes my breath away like my old system used to...something you cant talk over...but yet, something budget minded and something that does not require me to get a new high current alt and 6 battery's and 15,000 watts..Im 99% sure I am going with the 2 L7 15"s, now I just need to find a good 2000-2500 watt amp that is about $400 Also you ask why only two..Well for right now its money issues..but say 6 months down the road I may through 2 more L7's in there and another amp..
