which of the three 12's in a ported 3 cu ft non partitioned enclosure with about 1000 watts a pair? I know there are FAR better subs out there like DC, AQ, sundown, DD etc, etc that's easy for me to decide between those but im working with what i already have and not trying to spend any more money, so what do u guys think? the type r's im reffering to are the 124D the one that handles 1000 rms 3000 peak

thats a big box for a twelve but out or those three id chose the sx unless its the sxx then id go type r
yes i agree the box is big I'll probably downsize to about 2 cu ft, i had it in a previous vehicle, and yes the re i have is the sxx will the alpine do good in a big ported enclosure?

My Type R was awesome in my 2.5cft box, I'd say try a little bigger than 3 if you want a lower end response.

the alpine will do fine in the box just like the rest but the sub will take less power mechanically do to the lowered resistance inside the box. in other words u need less power to get just as loud

I'm excited to eventually get myself clamped to see what I'm actually doing (since my box is in the area of 8cft with a single 15 off of an SK1500.1 @1ohm [1690rms on a perfect 14.4v system])

yea that box has some kinda voodoo (special design) otherwise a regular ported box that big would shred that sub on that power. unless your amp is turned way down

You are correct, voodoo box indeed, I have the amp set to put out the 1690rms but with my ectrical and rise its probably lower.

So you're putting a pair into a single chamber 3 cubic foot enclosure? Is that 3 cubic feet net space? It's a bit on the small size (1.5 cubes each). JL W6V2s would work well in that space, but unfortunately are not on your list. If you had 2000w on hand, I'd say go for the pioneers.
