Alpine Type R, choosing right model? help!

Im running an Alpine 1.100 amp which does 4 and 2ohm at 1000w. What Im wondering if I should go with 2 2ohm SVC 12s or 2 4ohm DVC 12s?

Ultimately they both lead to 4ohms but Im not sure which would net a better result, or if it even matters? Def not an expert so hoping for some guidance here.

you wanna go with a pair of dual 2ohm woofers to wire your amp to 2ohms.

So if the amp can do 2 and 4ohm, is there a reason to pick one over the other? Also is there a reason to pick one over the other on SVC/DVC?

I don't think the type r comes in a SVC? I've only seen DVC

Looks like Alpine came out with replacements which are the DVC models. So between 2ohm and 4ohm, is it literally the same in terms of performance? I was thinking more amps do hjigher wattage at 2ohms so in case I change my amp, if I got it to go into the amp at 2ohm then Id be better 'planning for the future'

u want the new ones first off and i would get the dual 4's as if you want to change amps it will be easier and usually it will be cleaner at 4 ohm load. sor wire the dual 4 subs coils in series then 2 the amp in parrallell at amp

no you want dual 4 ohm subs run them at 4 ohm on your amp if u change amps etc you can run them at 1 ohm and there are a lot more 1 ohm amps

i think your confused with SWR which is the model name.

Most amplifiers do more power at lower ohm
