Alpine Type R box

I was just wondering what people are throwing their 12" Type R's in? My cousin got one for xmas and wants me to build him a box and I dont even know what these work well in. I was thinking something like 1.5 tuned to 26hz since he wants it for rap and rock.

I am running 1.6 or so right now and am going to go to 2.3 or so per. 1.6 sounds okay but seems to be a little small for them.
