r's are good budget subs, but the have a tendency to have a shorter life than higher priced subs. The longevity just isn't there.

I've been running my SE @ ~550rms and that thing still wangs almost a year after installing. I'm thinking about upgrading to an xxx or another 12" sub.

Yeh but how much do SEs cost new?
Id prolly take an SE over an R, but who knows....Rs will shock ya if ya use em right

right now woofers etc is having a sale on the 12" drivers, its 125 shipped per.

killer deal, i would have bought the 12" instead of 10" if i had the room.

Type rs are good budget subs. I know a guy who has 4 10's in his explorer and they sound really good.

Ehh arrghs are ok...I personally wouldn't waste my money on them. I would rather go with the SE's or step up to some Lanzar Opti's (Dual 2ohm aluminum cone ones w/1100rms) for a loud budget setup.

That is the most BS'ed statement I have ever heard. Infact, it is completely the opposite. Ive had tons of Type R's. Had smoke coming out of my R15 3 times with no affect on anything..Ran 2years strong.
