currently running elemental designs 12's in my truck and ready to swap to something higher power handling.

My plan was to switch to alpine Type R 12's, dual 4 ohm coils.

Did some quick looking and the RE Audio *** series caught my eye.

My amp will be 1400rms at 1 ohm. i know both subs are rated at 600rms. been told the alpine will be fine with little more....how about that RE audio?

anyone with opinions that heard either or both?

box is ported with around 1.6cuft tuned around 35hz Will be 2 subs in the truck....each 1.6cuft chamber.

Im only seeing aorund $40-50 more for the RE audio subs...

what else should i consider in the $300 or less range for pair? New

it looks like the box i have is more along the lines of 1.4-1.5cuft actually. the AQ looks to need more box then i have to offer.

any comments on my suggested subs?

I would just go with a ported box tuned from 32 hz. - 35 hz.
