Alpine Type R 10" sub - Looking for replacement AMP (good but not too pricey)

Specs:

-(1) Alpine Type R 10" sub

Currently have a Sony Xplode duel channel 600w amp, but someone said it prolly only pushes 300w's per sub and its not enough for my Type R.

So whats a good amp that I can replace it with? Nothing to fancy, just something reliable and good.
