I thought there was a problem with the tinsel leads breaking on some of the Type E subs currently on the market and Alpine can't even identify the batch that has issues?

To the OP, if you go Type E, you may want to make sure you get them from an authorized dealer, just in case you have warranty issues.

p.s i was disapointed in the difference between r's and e's, the e's sound awful but the r's dont hit much harder

r u serious....R's will blow the E's outta the water. They will get a ton louder.

If i was the op, i would go with the R, like i said, it will get a ton louder. I dont think one R is that mich more then a E anyways.

completely agree with you, the R is a much better selection

how much are u looking to spend for your budget sub? Maybe we can give u better options out there for the money...

well,i already bought 2 of these subs,long story. But im gonna build a sealed box for them around 1.25 per sub and if im not pleased,up for sale they go.
