Alpine ilx-507

If you have the sub on the rear or the front hi-level speaker outputs from the HU to the amp input it may work. What are you're amplifying the sub with, how is it wired to the HU?

Hi all, I just installed an ilx-507 in the settings I can't turn down the subwoofer volume I called Alpine and the rep said to fade to the front to control the subs output is that the only thing you can do?
Nice looking HU with great features and voltage out(4v). Do you have the HU hooked up to a subwoofer amplifier? If so.. What amplifier and what sub model #s and make? Using RCAs from HU to Sub amplifier?

Umm the sub outputs.
Yes using the Sub preouts from the ILX-507 to two JL Audio JD1000/1s powering 12W6V3s
Did you buy the HU BNIB with Manual? Or used ?No box and manual? Alpine can send you a PDF manual for it if there is not a free download on line
It's brand spanking new with an install booklet etc.

On the menu screen where it shows your vehicles voltage toward the bottom are some toggle switches that flip between tone control and sub level. The sub level output is adjustable from 0-15. (15 is the full 4 V)

Yeah, a lot of research last night/this morning. The whole safety thing about the parking brake is ridiculous. This went in a 65 Mustang as a removable unit entirely for shows so no, I did not cut the dash. It's a manual parking brake...like that's going to help here. So ordered a brake bypass and will have to wait a week or so. But as puppycat said, it's like an entire section of the manual is missing. My eyes couldn't read the small print on a dimmed out touch screen selection, which was why I just couldn't understand that there were no settings.

So there is a setting to remove that beep, but why on earth would you want that on a car stereo anyway? Try putting that feature on a home stereo! Idiots. But you have to have the parking brake engaged or the car in park for the setup menu selection to be lit up and functional Both of which don't matter anyway with the age of this car. Hope this helps others that are having this same problem.
