Almost there...just a question about 12 volt hookup...

After changing around/playing with about every component in my 97 Grand Cherokee, I finally have a new head unit w/ a cd changer, four brand new 6 1/2's in all the doors, and am finally ready to add the amplifier and the two 12's I bought.

I've got everything ready, the amp is mounted---subs are in the box, connected, ready to roll.

The ONLY wire I havent' attached is the 12 volt positive cable. I still have the factory infinity amp installed and running. Is there a junction/terminal near that amplifier that I can power my other Amp off of? I REALLY am not wanting to run a positive cable all the way to the hood, but if that's what is required, that's what will happen.

I just figured if there is an amplifier already in use, there HAS to be a positive 12 volt line back there somewhere...

Anyone help out?

Thanks a ton,

Cory

I assumed that was the case. I'll have to dig around and find some sort of grommet to pop that wire through. Not a big fan of drilling holes unless absolutely necessary. I'll let you know how it goes. Here's to hoping everything works out fine once this is done. I've been at it in my spare time for about a week now.
