Alarm not loud enough

Would adding another 6-tone soft-chirp siren, just like the one currently on there, not make it any louder?

Because I was told you can add one more siren without any modification.

Adding another siren will make it louder, also where is the other siren mounted and where is it pointed. Cutting the black loop will only make the arma nd disarm chirps louder, not the actual full alarm. As for them playing the same sounds, my experience with them is that not all the sirens are Identical and can eventually get out of sync if they are going off for an exteded period of time, but thats actually not a bad thing as it makes your car sound unique so you know for sure if its yours. I do recomend wiring in a relay if you are going to be running more than one siren as the output on the viper is only ment to run one siren. The sensitivity is adjustable on that unit. If there are a bunch of bars at the bottom of the remote than its adjustable by using the remote, if not then there is a dial under the dash either on the brain or on an outboard shock sensor depending on what its equiped with. The Proximity sensor means that instead of the alarm going off when someone hits your car, it starts warning them when they get near the car. Its a great sensor WHEN SET PROPERLY but when they arent they are annoying as hell.

i have a code alarm that i had circuit city do for me and i had them put in a proxy cencor. it has its advantages, but i think it had more disdvantages cuz it does add ectra security, but at the same time your alarm is more likley to go off for now reason at all

mine is set so if you walk by my car is sets off the pre alarm and if you stay in the range of it then the alarm will go off

one thing about them is that they have to be mounted perfectly flat or upright to work and they cant be under any metal otherwise they dont work as well ( thats what they told me at circuit city)

i got mine when circuit city stoped selling code alarms and i got a 2 way pageing alarm for 88 bux with autostart and then the proxy was anoth 15 so i said why not

The current siren is under the hood, facing the interior of the car. ANd how difficult would it be to add a relay to it so I can run another siren?

So would you reccomend the proxy sensor or not?

Its really easy to add a relay. Its just a matter of having a power, ground, and then cutting your siren output wire off the brain in half and connecting it to the relay as well. Its like a 5 minute install.
So am I correct in assuming that if I add viper 514N, which is what comes with my alarm, it will be louder?

Only reason I ask is because a friend of mine has the same exact alarm as me and his is noticeably louder.

And is my siren in a good place? Or should I try to relocate it?
