Alarm in the Neon

Well i think i want to put an alarm in the neon, i have no idea what to do. Would putting one in make it so that if the car door is opened from the inside, like break window then unlock, it goes off? What should i be looking for, theres a car audio place by me doing some Viper alarm for $100, ill try to find the model number and you guys can tell me if its good, but its gotta be better than nothing.

your neon didnt have a stock alarm?

my old neon sst, had a stock alarm. and it was so senstive that cars driving by set off the alarm, it also had a kill switch, tilt sensor, and all the features of a regualr alarm.

So if i get it then my neon will have automatic door locks? How do the installers go about doing that?

dose your neon have power locks? if so they tie in to that with the alarm to controle the power locks.

take you car to a nice shop. and have em put in an alarm. dont cheap out, alarms are important and should not be half assed.

It doesnt have power locks, will that be an issue with the alarm install?

you just wont have keyless entry unless you get actuaters installed. it will still give you the security feature though

shock sensor, starter kill, back up battery, what ever you pay for. You just wont be able to lock and unlock your doors with the key fob
