I started my viper 5900 install today and gave up since it wouldn't come on. Is there some way to test and make sure its fine?

you will need a 12volt power supply and you can simulate all the connections, but if you gave up, I would probably ask or pay a shop to do it for you.

where did you ground the unit and get power at?
