air space for subs?

For a sealed box the smaller box will increase the power handling of the speaker, slightly higher roll off of the lower frequncies. The larger box should work within specs ala woofer will still take rms. The woofer will play lower in the larger box all other things being equall, the woofer will take less power to get to its mechanical xmax. if you have more than rms run the 4 cubic foot, if you have the space and rms then build it as big as you can fit rigt up to 7 cubic feet.
