ahh help static

i have had this system for a while now but i have static in all 6 channels now and i cant find the source. this is what i have an ECN tuning everything, a 1400w mono amp powering 2 12" a 600w 4 channel amp powering my doors and rears, alos i have a 1 farad cap 4 each amp. one day all of a sudden i juist started getting static, even when the volume is turned down all the way on the head unit i have static in all 6 speakers. at first i thought it was the ECN but i removed that and still static, the i thought mabye it was the head unit ground totally disconnected and rewired and still static. i dont have ne clues where it is coming from, any help would be greatly appreciated

check rcas grounds and battery/alt voltage

i had the same prob check rcas and ground also could be your hu. what u have

i have a sony headunit, i dont think its the hu cause i never had a problem before, i checked the rcas, the wierd thing is if i pull all my rcas out of my hu i still get static in all 6 channels even thought no signal is going from the hu to the amp so somehow the amp is getting a staticy signal and them amplifying it. i know its not incorrect hgain on the amp either i checked that, and i just redid all my grounds and centralized them all with brand new cable. i have a built in voltmeter on my radar detector an i always have between 12-14v. i just dont understand how the amp is getting a signal at all with no rcas hooked up, the only connection between the HU and the amps is the remote wire, and there is still noise.

Make sure your power wire isn't running next to your RCAs or your speaker wire..

sheilded isnt good in moble car audio. if you did this stuff and there is nothing else in line its either the rcas, all of your amps (not likely) or the hu
