How many total watts RMS is the Kicker 1200.1 putting out?? IKNOW THE JL is pushin out @ 1250 RMS....sound right?
it really depends, because it has such a widely variable gain it can be made to push WAY more than it's conservative rating, and not clip much doing it much more than some amps, some amps start clipping right at their rated power or before it...Is what I said about the JL amp pushin out @ 1250 sound right?
Is that the same type of power supply that the Xtant amps have??besides that the regulated power supply, gives the amp a much more consistent output, where some amps kinda die out as the power gets lower, the jl amps keep the same output or cut off...
.they have low levels of distortion... much lower than most (even though the diffference is pretty much inaudible..
I have NO idea what this is supposed to mean. How does an amp control an equalizer?? Especially when an amp is after the EQ in the signal chain.and it has far greater control over equalizers and other settings than most amps

not to mention the durability, and reputation of JL
there are a few that compare to it, jbl makes one very similar
It's range of input sensitivity ("widely variable gain") has nothing to do with it's ability to output more than rated power or at what level it clips.it really depends, because it has such a widely variable gain it can be made to push WAY more than it's conservative rating, and not clip much doing it much more than some amps, some amps start clipping right at their rated power or before it...
JL is far from the only company to offer a tightly regulated power supply.besides that the regulated power supply, gives the amp a much more consistent output, where some amps kinda die out as the power gets lower, the jl amps keep the same output or cut off...
Huh?and it has far greater control over equalizers and other settings than most amps
