So i get all the wires for my amp ran power ground rcas remote and next was to put my working pioneer headunit in. I bought the PAC c2r-gm24.http://www.logjamelectronics.com/pacclgmrarea.html My car doesnt have onstar and it juss has the regular RDS cd player and theres a factory amp in the trunk, dont think its bose tho.. Well once i wire everything up i get the door chime and the headunit turns on and plays the cd but no sound output at all from anything, not even any static. what could be the problem?? does the amp need to be bypassed with something like this? http://www.installer-parts.com/by_item.php?it=70-2021

thanks.

The PAC C2R-GM24 is designed for use in most 2000-2007 GM SUV's and trucks (see specific vehicle applications below). Retains warning chimes when replacing factory radio in vehicles without OnStar® and provides a 12 volt trigger/accessory wire for complete installation and replacement of the factory radio. Will work in any GM vehicle that has the factory Bose® amplifier removed or bypassed.

FEATURES:

Retains all warning chimes including back-up chimes, memory seats, low fuel, door/hatch ajar and others.

Provides a +12volt accessory wire.

Retains RAP (Retained Accessory Power) when key is turned off. Radio stays on until the door is opened or for aproximately 10 minutes.

Supplied wire harness to connect aftermarket stereo to factory speakers.

Will work in vehicle that have the factory Bose® amplifier removed or bypassed. Custom wiring is required.

Buzzer is built into the interface

answer is in bold bypass factory amp

as long as that part will work i will juss buy that. dont really feel like runnin all that speaker wire. do you think circuit city will carry that harness or na?

lol you took the more challengin way i juss wanna to be able to get my subs bumpin again lol hopefully i get can get that harness locally.

yeah, well i didnt know about the harness.. it only took a few hours and a 50ft roll of speaker wire..

my speakers worked right after i found another power source.. before that NOTING worked.. wouldnt even turn on.. I must say it sounds ALOT louder and better ran this way, instead of thru the shitty door wiring and the crapppy factory amp... pics of ur monte?
