Alright, I went out and bought a clamp meter yesterday. I clamped my Hifonics 2500.
I have it ran @ 1 ohm, I found I rise between 1.8-2.5.
My results 48.6v and 23 amps, give or take some depending on frequency.
Basically it does "rated" what I've found out, but now I want more power of course.
Now, my subs are dual 4 so it'll be hard to get a low impedence like I want.
Doesn't make much sense to get a more powerful amp @ 2 ohms, I want to run @ .5. I'm going to find out Friday if my amp will do .5 ohms, if so I'll run this amp and different subs or impedence.
Now, if I could just find strappable amps that will do @ .5 that would work to.
What would you guys do (don't worry about my electrical)?
