all the small holes for wires to come through, the large hole in the bottom. sealing the rear wavr from the front wave is almost crucial.
This is what I was going to ask. Installation looks great. The only thing I would change is mounting the speaker to a mdf ring first. Mounting to a mdf ring makes it more solid and no vibration issues causing cancelation. Take the speaker out. hit the door panel where the hole is. The make a ring and hit it. You will see what I am talking about.i agree those new black jl amps are sexy... curious why you chose to mount the amp inthe direction you did making you cross power and rca wires and even ziptieing them together at one point ? no noise issues ? vary nice looking though perfect look for a clean daily driver.
It was the first bit if deadening i ever did to my car, and probably the most effective to date. it brings out the pnch in the RE RE comp set that i had in there for a couple years, and the same with the AA Poly mids.azbass, MDF ring first? Why? Not doubting you, just wanted to know you're reasoning.
iamamp3pimp, will it make that much of a difference, a difference you'll hear?
the thin metal door skin, even deadend will still flex and resonate, and your srcewing the speaker in to metal. which is Not the ideal thing to do . mounting a 3/4" ring to the door first then mounting the speaker to the mdf ring is a better way to go.azbass, MDF ring first?
