aero or slot? whats the difference?

It's preference really. Slot ports are harder to get accurate because they generally have higher friction with more surface area on the walls, not to be confused with port area, that ends up slowing down the air a little bit creating a lower tuning than designed for.

Aeros essentially eliminate this inefficiency and give a more accurate way to tune. I always do slot ports because it's easier for me to integrate with MDF and I'm perfectly fine with the lower tuning the port causes.

umm well actually ive ALWAYS heard slots are way more efficent....but yes aeros can get a little $

efficent to build but aero's move air more efficently

less surface friction but if you don't use enuff port area you will get port noise the greater the difficency the greater the port noise

There's no difference, really, other than the fact that aeroports minimize surface area that the air has to flow through. This means you can get away with a smaller port. The combination of smoother walls and flared ends helps even more, but this can also be done with a slot port.
