Got an amp (kicker zx400.1) that pushes around 450 watts and hookin it up to two subs rated at 400 rms and 800 max (2ohm, dual voice coils). Each sub will be gettin around 225-250, and thats definitly underpowering the subs (12" kicker cvr), but do you think that it will still sound decent. I mean 450 watts will still make a presence right?

If anything i could always upgrade in the future if i think the amp is too weak? What do you think?

If you bought DVC 4ohm speakers and have them wired to 1ohm to were the amp is actually producing the 400 watts total then you should have a decent amount of bump. However, you should not crank the gains to compensate for the amount of output you would expect from those two subs with a light amp.

Don't expect your rearview to rattle off the windshield or anything. But that little Kicker 400.1 will do till you can up grade to more power. Like 2kchevy said if you have 4 Ohm DVC. Wire them up to run at 1 Ohm to get the most out of your amp.
