Advice on whole system WHIR

Ok so im new to this audio system stuff really have no clue how to set up a good system and what to look for in specs and such other then what good brands are like kicker is crap and alpine is great etc so let me know what you think

I think i made a big mistake bought the 6x5 when i ideally needed 6x8 does this make a huge diffrence?

Kicker isn't crap, and only some of Alpine's stuff is great. If when you say you made a mistake buying 6x5's you really meant 6.5's, then its actually quite common for people to put 6.5's in instead of the original 6x9's. There pluses and minus of either option, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

You may get more response to your questions, if you come up with more specific questions. Are you just asking for opinions of your choices in equipment?

well I heard that kicker is more just loud noise instead of crispness sound quality and heard JL audio and Alpine etc where good for that.

but what

i'm asking is for what I have listed would it work together or would my subs be to much for the amp to handle ive attempted to do my own research but truthfully I dont understand to much especially the technical stuff. What do you guys think did i pick good parts or no

also just curious what are the plus minus to 6.9s vs 6.5s

Your going to get more bass response with the 6x9's. 6.5 comps can get you better mid and high response.

JL is good but overpriced, if you can find it for cheap(doubtful) then its worth it. I run all older Kicker in my GTO and it sound great.

With 1000 you can get a good setup off the classifieds here.

I think JL is way over priced. Dont get me wrong they sound good but still dont impress me. and were im from all you see is kicker. im still semi new to the game still alot for me to learn. i was a big power acoustik fan before because of the price and the PA Mofo's werent bad for SPL and i like the PA 5500 stax to.Until i learned that they are super over rated. Long story short NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY POWER ACOUSTIK So now i have a 1 18" audioque hdc3 and a sundown saz-2000d(MAN WHAT A DEAL AT $150). So i have a nice SPL system for like $550 and thats box and all. And ive posted the loudest Scores ive ever done...So my advice would be Audio Que.

i actually like the pioneer ts champ series. as funny as it may be my mom has to of the 10"s in her car (yea i know thats funny) and they pound and sound really good and she is underpowering them with sum off brand amp ive never heard of so with the amp to sub and speaker setup you have should be good if you just wanting everyday street beat...

That 1200 watt max amp will not be remotly close to powering even 1 of those subs.. Stop looking for max power numbers! they dont mean anything

The 4 channel amp is way to much for the 6.5s and just right for the 6 x 9s

Also the voice coil configuration will not work if you have 2 subs. they will need to be wired down to 1 ohm and that amp will only go down to 2ohms
