Advice on US Amps AX TU4360...Are they any good?

I recently purchased an Eclipse CD7200mkii which is a "dead head" and needed to get a four channel amp. The shop recommended a US Amps AX TU4360 which I have never seen before (or heard of). I need advice on getting a complimentary amplifier for my head unit. Speakers are going to be the next upgrade, but currently am running some cheap Alpine Type S stuff. Would there be any other amplifiers I should be looking at? He is going to get me a really good deal on the US Amps if I wanted to get them. Thanks in advance!

The AX-TU4360 is a very nice amp, but it's expensive due to the vaccum tubes. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable paying that kind of money for an amplifier unless I'd been lusting over it for quite a while.

A lot of people on this forum will tell you to stay away from US Amps, but I'm not one of them. I've owned many of their products over the years, and they've never let me down. In fact, US Amps' AX lineup are some of my favorite amps. Their looks are second to none, they're well built and they perform very well. The only downside I see is their pricetag.

If you really want to go with a US Amps 4 channel, I'd look into the MD-43. It'll save you some cash, and you'll still have a nice amp.

But there are always other amplifiers you should look at. At least check out Sundown and RD Audio before making your decision.

Thank you for the quick response. The only reason I am possibly considering this amp is because I can get it for a really good deal. The idea of a tube amplifier has me both excited and worried. Will they last long? Are they durable enough to withstand road vibrations?

I've heard good things about Zapco amps, but have yet to demo them. Would there be any other amp companies besides the Sundown and RD that you think would pair well with the Eclipse head unit? Again, my speakers are going to be upgraded in about a month to some Image Dynamics or Dynaudio stuff. Thank you again!
