Okay so im looking to upgrade to a 15" sub, price range is about $200.

I currently have a JH600 amp, tested at 660 watts rms at 2ohms.

These are the two subs I am considering:

1.Kicker CVX154

2.Alpine SWR-1542D

I will only be putting one in (not two)

So this is what I have noticed, the cvx has a +4.7 more dB and +250 rms, it also responds at 18hz compred to 20hz on the type r. Im not positive but im pretty sure the type R has a greater Xmax than the cvx. The type r also has a bigger magnet on it than the cvx. The CVX is about 30 bucks more and to me it looks like the better sub...

So basically for all you guru sound guys out there what sort of advise can you give me about these subs? Is the +4.7 dB gonna make a big diff?
