Advice on RMS watts compared to PEAK watts to pick an amp.. help is appreciated.

So i have two 400watt rms 1400watt peak 4-ohm DVC pioneers so obviously i need either a strong one ohm amp or a decent 2-ohm two channel amp. I guess my question is how well will a kicker zx550.2 push my subs.. i currently have a fosgate p300-1 running both at one ohm, yes i know its not one ohm rated but it does push them, admittedly it will cut out if i really crank it. I want to get an amp that will make the bass hit HARD, i mean almost damaging, so any advice is greatly appreciated. i know kicker and orion under-rate their amps but will a zx550.2 really make my subs hit with just 275watts rms each? I like the idea of an orion/kicker/fosgate amp best. Thank you so much for the advice/response/help guys. Thanks!
