Hey all, this is essentially my first post so just a brief intro. I have a 1989 Dodge Ram B250 Van. So far, I've got everything Pioneer except my subwoofer that's a Kenwood KFC-W3011 12". I got a pretty simple system in my Van and like to keep it like that without going over the top with upgrades ($ and skills aren't there) but I'm looking to make my first box (3 cu Ft @ 30hz per Imageshack - 3cubes30hz465sqin6xu.png design).
I have 1 12" in a sealed box now which I bought from BestBuy way back when I first bought the sub and didn't know any better about boxes. I also have a Pioneer GM-7300M Amplifier (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Amplifiers/GMSeries/GM-7300M?tab=B). What I'm looking to make is a box with 2 W3011's in it. I was wondering if wiring 2 subs in parallel would make the Ohms drop to 2 instead 4 Ohms which I'm currently running with just one sub. If I do this, I would be getting 160W to each sub, correct? Would this be drop in power make a noticeable difference over 1 sub? I'm not looking for shattering bass or anything, just adding more lows to my current setup. I like the sound I have now, just my bass seems half lacking on some rock songs. Room isn't really a problem in my van, I have gobs of space to use.
So my question is as follows; should I go and wire up 2 KFC-W3011 @ 2 Ohms in a ported box or just go with 1 sub in a ported box? Thanks and I'll try to provide as much information as needed as to what I currently have in my set-up if more info is needed.
