just my opinion on the subs:
So I've had my 1512 in a Tline tuned to 26hz for about 2 months now, using it in my living room for home theatre. I just received this Assassin and i wanted to try it in the same enclosure and see what i liked better. looking at specs i saw the assassin might not be suited for it but i tried it anyways. I have to say im very impressed with the assassin. It seems a little more efficient and for the power that i have works very well. I ended up leaving that in the tline and i'm going to build a ported for the 1512. The 1512 isn't a bad sub, for the price though the assassin performs just as well. I feel like the 1512 would get louder if i had more power, if only it was dual VC like the assassin.
As far as sound it's hard to choose one to the other, the dd seems to play higher notes a bit louder. both subs play lows very well 45hz-30hz.
Just thought I'd share my opinion.
powered by an xterminator 4000d rated at 400rms@4ohms and 800rms@2 but i doubt i'm getting anywhere near those numbers using a 25amp power supply. power supply puts out a steady 13.4 under load.
