advice on large amp purchase

im planning on buying one big amp to run my q's, just for the headroom now, and the power to later either run 2 more q 15's or 2 btl 18's. pretty sure i want one of the atomic at5000.1's in the classifieds, but there are also some MA hk4000d's for almost half the price. i think i'd rather have 4-5kw, where the hk is a bit lower than that, but i want something rock solid that will take daily beating at .7-1 ohm and handle abuse. is the atomic one of those tough amps like that, or is there something better i could get with 800-850 bucks? i dont want to go higher than that.

my 240a iraggi should be plenty with 2-3 batteries right?
