advice on downsizing; two 12s to...

Currently I am running two 12 swr-d2s on a kicker dx1000.1 at .5 ohm. The box is almost 5 cubes ported. Its in a Buick Lucerne.

I need to free up some trunk space. I would really hate to loose any loudness tho. I know I'm gonna lose some tho. Just wondering what suggestions one may have. I'm not getting the most out of my alpines as it is and upgrading to a bigger amp isn't possible right now. So working with the amp I have what would be a good trade off. I would like to get into some sundowns or something.

1 xfl 12 in that amp in the right box would slam , so would a sa 12 , what wires are you using ? and whats your electrical look like in the car ?

Wires are 0 gauge to a distro then 4 gauge to amp. Stock 120 alt . What is one xfl gonna run me shipped?

I will look into the other suggestions throughout the day and post with any specific Q's I may have. Off the top I considered some sa 8's but was thinking I'd be losing more then I wanted to. But on the other hand if those 8's are already in the ballpark then I may go that way.

A new xfl is 195 shipped from me The type r subs can do what you want as well but you'd need a d2 sub

I would run a single 15 in a 3.5 cube box should give ya some room back and keep cone area pretty close.
