Just ordered an SA12 to replace my, er um...L5 (yes, I know), so I'll need an enclosure for it. First decision I need to make is ported/sealed. Looking at the ported size recommendations from SA, even a ported box should fit in the trunk of my Mustang and still leave me with a good amount of usable trunk space, so I should be good either way. Amp is a Kicker 750.1, rated at 928 watts rms, according to the birth sheet.
I listen to 80s hair metal up to modern death metal, not much of anything else (at least in the car). I'm open to suggestions, and box makers feel free to chime in. My budget is around $150 for this--about to write a $4000 check to my local bloodsucking .gov for the 2nd half of my real estate taxes, so money is kinda tight. Thanks for any suggestions!
